  Buchanan's is a come and sit donw place. So don't bother wainting at the door your not in Toronto. No one is gonna seat you. There are no hidden seats. Decors is appropriate for small town eastern Canada, but who cares your there to eat.
  The menu is varried, steaks, ribs, burgers, big salads somethign for everyone but that widens the apeal in a town with two DQ's and McDicks. 25% of the resto's in town.
  
  I had the chicken and ribs with a ceaser. The food was good. the ribs are smoked which does make then fall off the bone. I'm more a taste over texture person. The ribs were a bit fatty but that's normal considering they were smoked. The chicken was perfectly cooked. Unfortunarely the sauce on both of these items is an after though and only coats the meat. Plate was big .. serving was huge.
  Better food over more food. I'm in the town for a week. I'll go back an try the steaks.

  Had the steak,we asked for it after appitizers and salad,it came all at once,I explained to waitress and she apologized and took steak back,,,,when it was time to have our steak,we received the same steak,she said they reheated them in the microwave...unacceptable !...the owner/cook would not make it right....last time we eat at this over priced diner,clearly the owner does not put the customer first!

  I try to be charitable when reviewing a restaurant, but I found the flavour of my meal lacking, and the ingredients were definitely boil in a bag quality. My guest had chicken fingers and mashed potatoes and found the potatoes lumpy and bland tasting. I don't think I'll be back for a second round...
